This Week at Calvin

At Calvin CRC, 326 7th St SE, we invite all members and visitors to worship with us. Our services begin at 10:00 AM on Sundays.
This Sunday Miriam Hector will lead all into a spirit of worship with a prelude on the grand piano. Pastor Brian Hofman is back and will lead us with announcements and Call To Worship. The All For Him praise team will lead the singing of "All Hail the Power of Jesus Name", "The First PLace", "See A Victory", and "Blessed Be Your Name". The team members are Bob Hughes, Jim Viet, Ron De Kok, Dave Hector, Patrick Visscher, Steve Ver Mulm, Mary Fedders, Lyn Bulthuis and Miriam Hector.
Pastor Brian continues his series of sermons on the story of Joseph from Genesis 41: 1 - 57 where Joseph interprets Pharaoh's dreams. Pharaoh then puts Joseph in charge of Egypt's resources during the time of abundance and scarcity.
Pastor Brian invites the children to the front to join him for a children's message.
Following the service all are invited to stay and fellowship over a cup of coffee, lemonade and cookies. There is a nursery well stocked with toys to occupy the children interests.
Next week Calvin prepares to celebrate communion. This is a special time to prepare our hearts and minds to partake of this Holy Supper.
Calvin likes to welcome all to contribute to the Christian Needs Center at this time. There is a blue barrel in the narthex where you can place your items.
