This Week at Calvin

Calvin Christian Reformed Church welcomes all who are looking for a church home. This Sunday begins
all our Sunday School classes for all ages at 9:00 AM. We have eager teachers preparing meaningful
educational opportunities to promote a growing relationship with Christ.
Worship begins at 10:00 AM with the prelude “Wonderful Words of Life” by Miriam Hector on the
grand piano.
Our new pastor, Rev. Brian Hofman, has just begun a series of sermons on the book of Jonah. This week
his text is Jonah 3. The All For Him praise team will lead the singing of “I Sing the Mighty Power of God”,
“Jesus Loves Me”, “Word of God, Speak”, “Your Grace is Enough” and leave with “God of Grace and God
of Glory.
This Sunday we will commission all our teachers and leaders of Bible Studies. We will also have the
privilege to witness the baptism of one of our infants. Following baptism we will sing “In Christ Alone”
with a baptism verse.
All sermons can be found on our website calvincrclemars.org, on CDs under the mailboxes or livestream
on YouTube. Tithes and offerings can be left in the wicker basket at the back of church, dropped off
between 10 and noon Monday through Friday, or mailed to the church’s address 326 7th St SE, Le Mars.
This coming week our Afternoon Bible Study meets at 1:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Lyn Bulthuis leads
this study “Comfort.” Each lesson is independent, so starting in the middle is not an issue. Come!
The Bible League International is hosting a Tri-State Dinner Monday 9/20/21 at 6:30 pm in Sioux Center.
The Conference is Tuesday 9:3- am – 3:00 pm in Sioux Center. Tickets on sale only through September
12. Calvin has always been supportive of this mission. Mark your calendars.
