This Week at Calvin

Christ Jesus is alive! As we celebrate this Easter season at Calvin Church, 326 7th St, Le Mars, we have been hearing some stories from our members of God’s work among us. Always a chance to praise Him for taking care of us.
This Sunday is the last Sunday of Education classes for all ages at 9:00 AM .
Worship begins at 10:00 AM. This Sunday, May 15, Pastor Brian Hofman returns with a message from Philippians 2: 12 – 18. The All For Him praise team leads the singing of “Hear Our Praises”, “Christ is Arisen, Alleluia”, and “They’ll Know We are Christians By Our Love”. For the Special Music this week we welcome Cassidy Pravachek singing “The Holy City”.
This week we celebrate Communion. Just a reminder, everyone is encouraged to bring items for the Christian Needs Center in Le Mars. May Needs: Hamburger Helper, Tuna Helper, juice; canned tuna, canned chicken; pork & beans; cereal; toothpaste; small bottles of shampoo. Our Special Offering this week is designated for Cornerstone Prison Church in the South Dakota Penitentiary in Sioux Falls.
Save the Date: June 27 – 30 for VBS! Our theme is Monumental: Celebrating God’s Greatness. We invite all children from the community to join us as attendees and helpers. Please start saving any brown packing paper you be receiving in your deliveries as we will be needing a lot for decorations. The more crumpled the better! There is a labeled box next to the blue Christian Needs Center barrel for this.
The church is open Monday through Friday from 10 to noon. Anyone needing prayer may call the church (546-4767) to be included in a prayer chain of prayer warriors from Calvin.
