This Week at Calvin

Calvin Christian Reformed Church welcomes all to worship and study God’s Word with them at 326 7 th
St. SE, Le Mars. Education classes for all ages are held at 9:00 AM. The Adults are beginning a new study
by Ray Vander Laan led by Tom Bjorge. Pastor Brian teaches the young people. And Sharon
Zomermaand lovingly teaches the children.
Worship begins at 10 AM in the sanctuary. Pastor Brian Hofman continues a series of sermons on the
book of Ecclesiastes. The text this week is Ecclesiastes 3: 1 - 15. The All For Him praise team leads the
singing of “Surely the Presence and He is Here”, “ I Lift My Eyes UP”, “My Soul Finds Rest”, “In His Time”
and “Trust and Obey.” Miriam Hector will lead all into a spirit of worship with “There is A Season Turn,
Turn, Turn” for a prelude.
Each Sunday Pastor Brian invites the children up front to visit with him. We all look forward to seeing
our children interact with him. Following this they may leave to attend Children’s Worship in the
Fellowship with Ms. Tess Hofman. This is a new ministry for Calvin. We are so excited to offer this
again.
This week Wednesday at 6:30 PM the Evening Bible Study will be held in the Fellowship Hall. Laura
Grigsby leads this study of Twelve Women of the Bible Lesson 11.
We are excited to announce that the Election Night Soup Supper will be held this year on Tuesday,
November 8 from 5 – 7 PM. Homemade soups and desserts, taverns and pig-in-a-blanket will be served.
Tickets for Adults - $10; children 5 – 10-$5; 4 & under – Free. Proceeds go to Her Health in Le Mars.
Our church is open Monday through Friday from 10 – noon. We invite you to check this out.
