This Week at Calvin

Sunday, August 7th, Calvin CRC welcomes all to a time that has been set aside for the public worship of
God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit! Worship begins at 10 AM at 326 7t St SE, Le Mars.
Pastor Brian Hofman returns to the pulpit after a week on vacation. He will continue his series of
sermons on Joseph. This week’s text is found in Genesis 40: 1- 23 where Joseph interprets the dreams
of the butler and the baker. As we enter worship Mandy Viet from Ireton will play the prelude on the
piano. The songs of praise will include “Lord Our Lord Your Glorious Name”, “Now with Joyful
Exultation”, “Abide With Me”, “Be Thou My Vision”, and closing with “Glory Be to the Father”.
After the service everyone is invited to join in fellowship over a cup of coffee, glass of juice or lemonade,
and a yummy cookie. There is a nursery stocked with great toys to entertain the children while the
adults welcome guests and catch up on how God is working their lives.
Calvin Women are invited to gather together for breakfast the 2 nd and 4 th Thursdays of the month at
Family Table. They will meet at 9:30 AM on Thursday, August 11
This week we would like to emphasize that NW Iowa Communities in Partnership with Orphan Grain
Train invites all to participate in collecting specific items for the Ukrainian people and to share Christ’s
love in a tangible way. Bring items to the donation trailer located in the Centre Mall parking lot in Sioux
Center from Thursday, Aug. 11 – Monday, Aug. 15. A list of requested items can be found at
