This Week at Calvin

Calvin Church, 326 7 th St SE, welcomes all who are looking for a church family with whom you can
worship, learn, and fellowship. Sunday Worship begins at 10:00 AM. This Sunday Pastor Brian Hofman
will finish a series of messages on Discipleship based on the book of Mark. This Sunday his text is Mark
10: 32 - 52. Songs of praise are: “We Bow Down,” “That’s Why We Praise Him”,” Thy Word”, “When I
Survey the Wondrous Cross/The Wonderful Cross”, “Here I Am, Lord.” The All For Him praise team leads
the singing and playing for worship this week.
Sunday School classes for all ages in the Fellowship Hall begin at 9:00.
The Afternoon Bible study will meet on March 2 1:30 PM. Lyn Bulthuis will lead the study Lesson 23:
Evangelism: Witnessing. Coffee, dessert, fellowship and prayer complete this special time.
Calvin had the privilege the last two weeks leading worship at all the nursing homes in Le Mars. What a
great time to meet these wonderful people, read scripture, sing hymns, have a short meditation and end
with a blessing on all in attendance! Please join us again in the future.
Saturday, March 5 th , at noon Calvin is having a church outing by going to hear the story of Fanny Crosby,
a blind hymn writer, who wrote 8000 hymns. The Browns act out her story and sing many of these
favorite songs.
The church is open every morning from 10 to noon to pick up books or DVDs, or CDs of the sermon. The
sanctuary is always available for prayer. Anyone needing prayer may call the church (546-4767) to be
included in a prayer chain of prayer warriors from Calvin.
