This Week at Calvin

After Christ ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of his Father, God sent the Holy Spirit to dwell with us. The Holy Spirit has made our world, our hearts, and the church its temporary home. So we join the Holy Spirit’s work in calling others to come dwell with us in the house of the Lord – to come and find their true home. All are welcome to make Calvin CRC your home. Our building is located 326 7th ST SE, Le Mar, IA.
Sunday School classes for all ages is at 9:00 AM in the basement. Worship begins at 10 AM in the sanctuary. The prelude this week is “Be Still My Soul with Where the Spirit of the Lord Is”. Gather in the sanctuary preparing our hearts to worship our mighty and wonderful God.
Rev. Mark Klompien will lead us in worship. The All For Him band accompanies “God of Wonders”, “Goodness of God”, “Here I Am Lord”, “Soul on Fire” and “Wind, Wind Blow on Me.” This week the singers include Steve Ver Mulm, Patrick Visscher, Angeli Shieh, and Lyn Bulthuis. Instrumentatlists are Bruce Smit, Bob Hughes, Ron De Kok and Miriam Hector.
Immediately following the service all members are asked to vote on extending – or not- at call to our pastoral candidate. There are absentee ballots on the bookcase under the mailboxes which may be given to any council member. If you have any questions contact your district elder or deacon.
Calvin plans to honor our graduates at the service this Sunday. Cake, coffee and juice will be served following the congregational meeting. Please join us in congratulating our grads and blessing them as they go forward in their studies or work.
