This Week at Calvin

Calvin Christian Reformed Church eagerly anticipates the arrival of Rev. Brian Hofman and his family to lead our congregation. His first worship service will be August 15th. In the meantime please keep praying for this family as they tie up loose ends to make the move possible.
This Sunday our friend Dan Tracy from Orange City is planning to bring The Word to us. Our services begin at 10 AM. All are welcomed to join us as we sing, pray, read the word and fellowship together.
Miriam Hector will be play the prelude on the grand piano. The All For Him praise team is accompanying the singing of "Come, Now is the Time to Worship", "Creation Sings the Father's Song", introducing a new song for communion next week "Taste and See", "By Faith", and leaving with "We Receive Your Blessing, We Receive Your Grace".
The band consists of Dave Davelaar on drum, Bob Hughes and Ron De Kok on acoustic guitars, Jim Viet on bass, Miriam on keys. The singers include Steve Ver Mulm, Patrick Visscher, Mary Fedders and Lyn Bulthuis. We appreciate these faithful musicians as they use their gifts to enhance worship at Calvin.
Calvin will be delivering Meals on Wheels to the community the rest of this month. We look forward to greeting you as we deliver these hot meals.
All tithes and offerings may be placed in the wicker basket in the back of church, sent to the church office at 326 7th St SE or brought during office hours Monday through Friday from 10 to noon. Thank you for supporting the work of the kingdom.
This month we will celebrate Communion on the third Sunday of July. As we do so, we have a tradition of collecting items for the Christian Needs Center. They include jelly, cereal, hamburger helper/tuna helper, pancake syrup, canned fruit, pasta noodles, shampoo toothpaste, toilet paper and paper towels. Please place items in the blue barrel in the narthex.
Grace and peace be with you.
