This Week at Calvin

Calvin Christian Reformed Church welcomes all to worship and study God’s Word with them at 326 7 th
St. SE, Le Mars. Education classes for all ages are held at 9:00 AM. The Adults are beginning a new study
by Ray Vander Laan led by Tom Bjorge. Pastor Brian teaches the young people. And Sharon
Zomermaand lovingly teaches God’s truths to the children.
Worship begins at 10 AM in the sanctuary. Pastor Brian Hofman continues a new series of sermons on
the book of Ecclesiastes. The text this week is Ecclesiastes 2: 1 -11. The All For Him praise team leads
the singing of “Lord Most High”, ‘Hear Our Praises”, “Goodness of God”, and “O God, You Are My God.”
The prayer of confession will be the song “His Mercy is More.” The offertory will be “Jesus Messiah.”
Each Sunday Pastor Brian invites the children up front to visit with him. We all look forward to seeing
our children interact with him. Following this they may leave to attend Children’s Worship in the
Fellowship with Ms. Kaitlyn Visscher. This is a new ministry for Calvin. We are so excited to offer this
again.

This week Wednesday at 6:30 PM the Evening Bible Study will be held in the Fellowship Hall. Laura
Grigsby leads this study of Twelve Women of the Bible Lesson 10.
We are excited to announce that the Election Night Soup Supper will be held this year on Tuesday,
November 8. This is a wonderful opportunity to have our doors open to the community! Tell your
friends and neighbors. All are welcome. Watch for more details coming soon.

A wonderful library of books and DVDs is available for anyone to use. Our church is open Monday
through Friday from 10 – noon. We invite you to check this out.
