This Week at Calvin

Calvin Church, 326 7 th St SE, welcomes all who are looking for a church family to worship, learn and
fellowship with us. Worship begins at 10:00 AM. This Sunday we continue celebrating Epiphany when
the wise men visit the baby Jesus. Pastor Brian Hofman and family will be on vacation this week. Mr.
Dan Tracy from Orange City will lead us in worship. The songs of praise are: “How Great is Our God,”
“Beautiful Savior, “Spirit of the Living God”, and “Seek Ye First The Kingdom of God,” and “To God Be the
Glory”. Miriam Hector will be the worship musician. Her prelude will be on the familiar hymn “Beautiful
Savior.”
Sunday School classes for all ages in the Fellowship Hall begin at 9:00. Come ready to study God’s Word.
The Afternoon Bible study will meet again on January 19 at 1:30 PM. Lyn Bulthuis will lead Lesson 20
Depression or Despair.
The Evening Bible Study will resume meeting on Wednesday, January 26 at 6:30 PM. They are starting a
new DVD series called Twelve Women of the Bible, which are presented by 6 different authors. All are
welcome to join. If you have questions or would like Laura to order a study guide for you, please contact
Laura Grigsby (712-541-7145) on or before January 16.
The church is open every morning from 10 to noon. Books or CDs of past services can be picked up at
this time. All are welcomed to use the sanctuary as a place for prayer for yourselves and family, our
church, community, and country. If you have any prayer requests and concerns you like included in the
bulletin, please direct them to our church secretary at 712-546-4767.
