This Week at Calvin

Calvin Christian Reformed Church at 326 7th St SE invites all who would like to worship the one true God through reading and preaching of the Bible, singing songs of praise, and praying together. Worship begins at 10 AM. This Sunday Inez Hoogeveen will accompany the music and play a prelude "Remember Me"and the postlude "Worthy The Lamb." She will also accompany the hymns for the day. We thank her for lending her talent of music with us today.
Pastor Brian Hofman continues his series of sermons on Joseph from Genesis 44. The children are also invited to come forward and visit with Pastor about the day's thoughts.
This coming week we start the Bible Studies. Two different times are offered with different themes. So, if you'd like to participate in both, that is welcomed. This coming week on September 7th the Afternoon Bible Study begins at 1:30 PM. They will be studying from Paul Stevens 2 Corinthians: Finding Strength in Weakness. If you have not yet picked up the study guide, you will find them in the secretary's office.
The other option for Bible Study is on Wednesday Evenings at 6:30 PM. They begin on September 14 with a DVD series "Twelve Women in the Bible". Each lesson is independent, so you can start at any point. If you are interested, please contact Laura Grigsby on or before September 4 so she can order a guide for you.
Advanced notice for Sunday School classes for all ages begins September 11th at 9:00 AM. Hope to see you there to study God's Word together.
