This Week at Calvin

Calvin Church, 326 7 th St SE, welcomes all who are looking for a church family with whom you can
worship, learn, and fellowship. Sunday Worship begins at 10:00 AM. This Sunday Pastor Brian Hofman
will continue a series of messages on Discipleship based on the book of Mark. This Sunday his text is
Mark 9:38 - 50. Songs of praise are: “Mighty To Save,” “Have Thine Own Way Lord”, “Hallelujah (Your
Love is Amazing”, “Yet Not I But Christ Through Me”, and “Will You Come and Follow Me”, and “O God
You Are My God”. The All For Him praise team leads the singing and playing for worship this week. We
thank them for lending their talents to praise our Almighty God.
Sunday School classes for all ages in the Fellowship Hall begin at 9:00. Did you know each class gathers
an offering? At the end of the year, they designate gifts to World Renew. They are given a catalog of
appropriate gifts they could select. This is a big deal! Gifts such as water filters, chicken, ducklings,
cows, vitamins, medicine, emergency food for a month, variety see packets, rice, covid 19 recovery
seeds, hand washing station, bicycle, small tools were given. The total value was $6000.00 worth of
gifts to Third World Countries. PTL!
The Afternoon Bible study will meet on February 16th at16:30 PM. Lyn Bulthuis will lead the study
Lesson 22: Dreams-Visions.
The church is open every morning from 10 to noon to pick up books or DVDs, or CDs of the sermon. The
sanctuary is always available for prayer. Anyone needing prayer may call the church (546-4767) to be
included in a prayer chain of prayer warriors from Calvin.
