This Week at Calvin

Calvin Christian Reformed Church welcomes all to worship and study God’s Word with them at 326 7th St. SE, Le Mars. Education classes for all ages are held at 9:00 AM.
Worship begins at 10 AM in the sanctuary. Pastor Brian Hofman continues a series of sermons on the
book of Ecclesiastes. The text this week is Ecclesiastes 5: 10 -20. Inez Hoogeveen will provide worship
music and will accompany “Your Name”, “A Mighty Fortress is Our God”, “Thy Word”, and “In Christ
Alone.”
Each Sunday Pastor Brian invites the children up front to visit with him. We all look forward to seeing
our children interact with him. Following this they may leave to attend Children’s Worship in the
Fellowship with Ms. Kaitlyn Visscher. This is a new ministry for Calvin. We are so excited to offer this
again.
This week Wednesday at 1:30 PM the Afternoon Bible Study will be held in the Fellowship Hall. Lyn
Bulthuis leads this study of 2 Corinthians.
We are excited to announce that the Election Night Soup Supper will be held this year on Tuesday,
November 8, 5-7 PM serving homemade soups and desserts, taverns and pig-in-a-blanket. Proceeds go
toward Her Health. Adults - $10, Children 5 – 10 - $5, 4 & under Free .
Calvin is looking forward to participating in the Youth for Christ Bowl=A Thon fundraiser at the Sweet 16
Lanes on October 30th from 2:30 – 5:00 PM.
Boxes for Operation Christmas Child are now available at Calvin. Each has instructions on how to fill
them. Return date for filled boxes is Sunday, November 13. Please prayerfully consider filling box/boxes
this year to give joy to children around the world and share the Good News of Jesus.
Secretary hours are 10 – Noon Monday through Friday. Pastor Brian also loves visitors.
