This Week at Calvin

Sunday, July 3 rd , Calvin CRC welcomes all to a time that has been set aside for the public worship of God:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit! Worship begins at 10 AM at 326 7t St SE, Le Mars.
Pastor Brian Hofman concludes his exciting series of messages from Philippians. This Sunday his text is
from Philippians 4: 10 - 23. Inez Hoogeveen will play “We’ve A Story to Tell to the Nations and a Medley
of My Country ‘Tis of Thee/America the Beautiful on the piano. The songs of praise will be “O Worship
the King”, “Praise to the Lord the Almighty”, “Children of the Heavenly Father”, “This is My Father’s
World”.
Calvin has been very busy this past week sharing God’s good news of His “Monumental Greatness’.
Many faithful volunteers shared this Good news with 30 some children from our church and our
community.
Our offering this year goes toward Hope Haven’s Wheelchair Ministry. They recondition wheelchairs to
give to many who can not afford assistance. We will report the final amount next week.
We learned great songs like “Awesome God”, “Great is Thy Faithfulness”, “Watching Over You”, and “
Nothing Can Separate”. Bible time told of the story of Joseph. It tells of how God can take something
bad and make it turn out for good. This story can be found in Genesis 37 – 46.
Each evening began with nutritious food prepared by our faithful friends in the kitchen. Yum!
Easy crafts were created each evening focusing on the theme of the day: “God Loves Us No Matter
What”, “God is Everywhere”, “God is in Charge”.

Anyone needing prayer may call the church (546-4767) to be included in a prayer chain of prayer
warriors from Calvin.
