This Week at Calvin

Calvin Christian Reformed Church welcomes all to worship and study God’s Word with them at 326 7 th
St. SE, Le Mars. Education classes for all ages are held at 9:00 AM. The Adults are beginning a new study
by Ray Vander Laan led by Tom Bjorge. A chairlift is available to those who need assistance. Don’t be
afraid to ask.
Worship begins at 10 AM in the sanctuary with Miriam Hector playing a prelude on “Be Thou My Vision”
on the organ. Pastor Brian Hofman begins a new series of sermons on the book of Ecclesiastes. The text
this week is Ecclesiastes 1: 12-18, 2: 12-17. Our hymns include: “Holy, Holy, Holy”, “All Creatures of Our
God and King”, and “Be Thou My Vision”.
This week we will also have Duane Vander Plaats give us an update on the Gideons and their quest to
put Bibles around the world.
Each Sunday Pastor Brian invites the children up front to visit with him. We all look forward to seeing
our children interact with him. Following this they may leave to attend Children’s Worship in the
Fellowship with Ms. Kaitlyn Visscher. This is a new ministry for Calvin. We are so excited to offer this
again.
Pastor Brian will be leading services on Wednesday, October 5 th at Prime Living at 9:30 and Accura at
10:00 AM. Calvin members enjoy attending this ministry to make the residents feel like a family.
This week Wednesday at 1:30 PM the Afternoon Bible Study will be held in the Fellowship Hall. Lyn
Bulthuis leads this meaningful study on 2 Corinthians. Prayer, coffee and dessert conclude our gathering.
A wonderful library of books and DVDs is available for anyone to use. Our church is open Monday
