This Week at Calvin

Calvin Christian Reformed Church welcomes all to worship and study God’s Word with them at 326 7 th
St. SE, Le Mars. Education classes for all ages are held at 9:00 AM. The Adults are beginning a new study
by Ray Vander Laan led by Tom Bjorge. A chairlift is available to those who need assistance. Don’t be
afraid to ask.
Worship begins at 10 AM in the sanctuary with Inez Hoogeveen and Miriam Hector playing a prelude on
“Seek Ye First” and “Make Me a Servant” with the piano and organ. Pastor Brian Hofman begins a new
series of sermons on the book of Ecclesiastes written by Solomon. The All For Him Praise Team leads
the singing of “We Believe”, “The Servant Song”, “Jesus All For Jesus,” “Christ Our Hope in Life and
Death”, and “Hear the Call of the Kingdom.” These faithful musicians are Patrick Visscher, Steve Ver
Mulm, Mary Fedders, and Lyn Bulthuis. The instrumentalists are Bob Hughes, Ron De Kok, Jim Viet, and
Dave Hector.
This Sunday we will install the new elder, Jerry Reed and deacon, Lori Lynn. We thank the retiring
council member Dave Hector for his service.
Each Sunday Pastor Brian invites the children up front to visit with him. We all look forward to seeing
our children interact with him. Following this they may leave to attend Children’s Worship in the
Fellowship with Ms. Kaitlyn Visscher. This is a new ministry for Calvin. We are so excited to offer this
again.
This week Wednesday at 6:30 PM the Evening Bible Study will be held in the Fellowship Hall. Laura
Grigsby leads this meaningful study.
A wonderful library of books and DVDs is available for anyone to use. Our church is open Monday
through Friday from 10 – noon. We invite you to check this out.
