This Week at Calvin

As we approach this Independence Day, we are reminded of God’s promise in Psalm 33:12 which says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” May we return to the Lord and repent of our evil ways so He will bless our nation. Calvin CRC invites all looking for a place and family to publicly worship God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit!
Our Sunday morning worship begins at 10 AM. Rev. Matt Wentz, will lead us in worship. Inez Hoogeveen will play “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” for the prelude on the grand piano. She will also accompany the singing of “The Star-Spangled Banner”, “If My People’s Hearts Are Humbled” for the call to confession, “My Country ‘Tis of Thee”, “America the Beautiful”, and “God Bless America”. Before the reading of the Word, we will sing “Breathe on Me, Breath of God”. During the worship time we come to God with our prayers of praise, thanksgiving, confession and supplication. Following the worship time we have a time of fellowship with one another with a cup of coffee, lemonade and cookies. Please join us as we renew our friendships and make new friends.
Rev. Brian Hofman from Kanawha IA has accepted Calvin’s call to be our next pastor. Praise God. Please pray for him and Calvin as all the details for housing and moving need to be worked out.
Tithes and offerings may be dropped off at the church Mondays through Fridays from 10 to noon. Or mailed to 326 7th St SE, Le Mars, IA.
Our services can be livestreamed on Youtube, on our website starting Monday morning at calvincrclemars.org or on CDs available at church under the mailboxes. We urge all interested in hearing God’s Word to join us in person or livestream.
