This Week at Calvin

Calvin CRC invites all looking for a place and family to publicly worship God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit! Calvin is located at 326 7th St SE, Le Mars, IA. Our Sunday morning worship begins at 10 AM. Pastor Verlyn Schaap, from Sioux City, will lead us in worship. Miriam Hector will play a new hymn “Taste and See” and “Break Now the Bread of Life“ for the prelude on the grand piano. She and Abigail Tilburg will also accompany the singing of “O God, You Are My God”, “Marvelous Grace”, “Taste and See”, and “Break Now the Bread of Life”. Before the reading of the Word, we will sing “Spirit of the Living God”. This Sunday we celebrate communion. We ask God for the proper spirit in which to celebrate the sacrament that we may repent sincerely of all sin. As is our tradition on Sundays we take communion, Calvin has a special offering for Cornerstone Prison Ministry in Sioux Falls. We also love to contribute to the Christian Needs Center. These needs include: jelly, cereal, hamburger/tuna helper, pancake syrup, canned fruit, pasta noodles, shampoo, toothpaste, toilet paper and paper towels. Rev. Brian Hofman, his wife Tessa, and two daughters, Lanie and Mia from Kanawha IA have accepted Calvin’s call to be our next pastor. Praise God. Please pray for them, Calvin, and the church they leave as they move to Le Mars Tithes and offerings may be dropped off at the church Mondays through Fridays from 10 to noon.
