This Week at Calvin

Calvin Church, 326 7th St SE, welcomes all who are looking for a church family to worship, learn and
fellowship with us. Worship begins at 10:00 AM. This Sunday Pastor Brian Hofman’s sermon challenges
all to discipleship. The message on Mark 10:13-21 finds Jesus welcoming the little children to come to
him. The children will begin the service singing “Jesus Loves the Little Children” and “Jesus Loves Me”.
The congregation joins in on the final verses. Other songs include: “The Solid Rock”, “In Christ Alone”,
“Behold the Lamb of God”.
As we prepare to celebrate communion this Sunday ask God for the proper spirit in which to celebrate
the sacrament that we may repent sincerely of all sin and that by it we shall be spiritually revived, and
strengthened in faith, hope, and love through Christ our Lord. All who have been baptized, are truly
sorry for their sins, who sincerely believe in the Lord Jesus as their Savior, and who desire to live in
obedience to Him are invited to come with gladness to the table of our Lord this Sunday morning.
As is tradition on communion Sundays, we also contribute to the Christian Needs Center. Their needs
include granola bars, juice, jelly, laundry soap.
A Special Offering will be taken for Youth For Christ.
Sunday School classes for all ages in the Fellowship Hall begin at 9:00. Come ready to study God’s Word.
The Evening Bible Study will resume meeting on Wednesday, February 23, at 6:30 PM. They are
studying a DVD series called Twelve Women of the Bible, which are presented by 6 different authors. All
are welcome to join.
The church is open Monday through Friday from 10 - noon.
