This Week at Calvin

Calvin Church welcomes all who are looking for a church home. At 9:00 AM on Sunday there are Education classes for all ages. The Adult Class begins a video series by Matt Chandler on John chapters 1-3. We have eager teachers preparing meaningful educational opportunities to promote a growing relationship with Christ.

Worship begin as 10:00 AM with the prelude "God Is So Good"  by Miriam Hector on the grand piano.  Our new pastor, Rev. Brian Hofman, will conclude his series of sermons on the book of Jonah.  This week the text is Jonah 4.  The hymns for this week include "Like a River Glorious", "Salvation Belongs to Our God", "Before the Throne of God Above", and "In Christ There Is No East or West."

This Sunday we will celebrate Communion.  As is tradition on communion Sundays, we collect items for the Christian Needs Center. A special offering will be taken for the Sioux City Gospel Mission.

This Sunday as we celebrate the installation of Pastor Brian, we will have a noon meal. Meat & potatoes and drink will be provided. Please bring a dish, hot or cold, to share. Service of installation will begin at 1:30. Following the service cake & coffee will be served.

This coming week our Women's Evening Bible Studay meets at 6:30 in the Fellowship Hall.
