This Week at Calvin

Calvin CRC invites all looking for a place and family to publicly worship God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit!
Calvin is located at 326 7th St SE, Le Mars, IA.
Our Sunday morning worship begins at 10 AM. Pastor Verlyn Schaap, from Sioux City will lead us in
worship. He has been doing a series of sermons on the book of James the last 4 times he’s been at
Calvin. This week his message is based on James 4: 1-10. Lois (Palsma) Van Roekel will play the prelude
on the grand piano. She is a former piano and organ student of Miriam Hector and resides in Sioux
Center. She will accompany “Come Thou Almighty King”, “Sing Praise To God Who Reigns Above”, and
“You Grace is Enough”. Following the message of “Stop Fighting and Start Living” we will respond with
the singing of “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms.” Our sending out song will be “Sing to the King .”
The last two weeks of July Calvin will be delivering Meals on Wheels to our community. A big thank you
to those who have signed up to participate in this outreach.
Rev. Brian Hofman, his wife Tessa, and two daughters, Lanie and Mia from Kanawha IA have accepted
Calvin’s call to be our next pastor. Praise God. Please pray for them, Calvin, and the church they leave
as they move to Le Mars.
Tithes and offerings may be dropped off at the church Mondays through Fridays from 10 to noon. Or
mailed to 326 7th St SE, Le Mars, IA.
Our services can be livestreamed on Youtube, on our website starting Monday morning at
calvincrclemars.org or on CDs available at church under the mailboxes. We urge all interested in hearing God's Word to join us in person or livestream.
