This Week at Calvin

Calvin Christian Reformed Church welcomes you to worship at 10:00 AM on Sundays. If you feel comfortable worshipping in person at 326 7th St SE, we welcome you to come. We have asked that we all social distance in the pews throughout the sanctuary. Otherwise, the service is live streamed starting about 9:50 with the prelude on the grand piano. Miriam Hector has selected "Spirit Song", "Holy Spirit, Rain Down", and "Spirit of God, Descend Upon My Heart" for the prelude. As you can tell, the theme of June's services has been "The Holy Spirit." This week Pastor Rev. Dr. Nevada DeLapp will use Titus 3: 1 - 8 for the theme of the Holy Spirit brings us to God in the sacraments. This week will be the first time Calvin has had the sacrament of Communion since the pandemic began. We have been fasting and instead held a prayer for spiritual communion. We are excited to Come to the table as such to participate in the Holy Supper. However, the elders will be distributing each element to the parishoners through out the congregation. All who have been baptized, are truly sorry for their sins, who sincerely believe in the Lord Jesus as their Savior, and who desire to live in obedience to Him are invited to come with gladness to the table of our Lord this morning.
The All For Him praise team of Lyn Bulthuis, Mary Fedders, Steve Ver Mulm, Bruce Smit, Bob Hughes, Ron DeKok, Jim Viet and Miriam Hector will lead the singing of "in Remembrance" and "The King of Love My Shepherd is" during the passing of the elements. We will open worship with "The Church's One Foundation" and "Table of Plenty". After the congregational prayer we will prepare our hearts for the reading of the word by singing "Holy Spirit, Living Breath of God". The Gospel reading comes from John 6: 53 - 58.
Since we are actually celebrating communion this Sunday, there is still time to donate to the Christian Needs Center. The blue barrel in the narthex is the collection point. The June needs are soup, rice, boxed potatoes, pasta sauce & noodles, carrots, peas, pork & beans, fruit, toilet paper, toothpaste and shampoo.
We are preparing to deliver Meals on Wheels in the month of July. Contact Helen DeStitger if you are able and willing to reach your neighbors through this loving act that only takes a few minutes in the late morning. There will be a sign up sheet in the narthex. Thank you for this act of service.
This coming week a morning of prayer and dedication for Her Health Le Mars will be Tuesday, June 30, 9:30 AM - 12:30 Pm. Come whenever you are free to 25 Plymouth St SW to pray for this free ministry to our community. They provide free ultrasounds and counseling for those interested. Just west of the Brown's Theatre.
Calvin Church has a library set up in the basement. The church doors are open from 10 - noon Monday through Friday. You are welcome to check out any of the titles you find there.
At this time you may drop off your tithes and offerings or mail them to the church at 326 7th St SE.
Please join Calvin in this time of Holy Spirit lessons by accessing the past sermons at http://www.calvincrclemars.org.

We pray that the Holy Spirit will weave us into one body with many parts. We are not in competition with each other. All our various parts are important and necessary to point to victory in Jesus.
