This Sunday at 10:15 AM we set aside this time for the public worship of God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit! Miriam Hector will play an arrangement of "Awesome God" by Rich Mullins arranged by Bill Wolaver on the grand piano. The Call to Worship will be a responsive reading from Psalm 22: 23-331. Our opening song of worship is "Amid the Thronging Worshipers". Following God's Greeting we will all join in singing "Our God Is An Awesome God." The Prayer of Confession is taken from Psalm 130 and Mark 5: 21 - 43. Another candle in The Lenten Triad will then be extinguished. Each Sunday another candle of the 6 purple candles is snuffed out until we reach Good Friday when the white Christ Candle will also be snuffed out signifying the death of Christ. Of course, we know that it will be relit again on Easter Sunday when our Lord and Savior comes back to life. A special offering will be taken for Zestos while the worship song "How Deep The Father's Love For Us" is played.
The Gospel reading is from John 3: 1 - 17. The Gospel Hymn is "Humble Thyself".
The text for Pastor DeLapp's sermon is found in Judges 6 where Gideon experiences God's strength in his and the Israelites' lives.
This Sunday Calvin will celebrate communion to all who have been baptized, are truly sorry for their sins, who sincerely believe in the Lord Jesus as their Savior, and who desire to live in obedience to Him are invited to come with gladness to the table of our Lord. All in attendance will leave with the singing of "Lord I Need You."
