This Week at Calvin

Calvin Church welcomes all who are looking for a church home to visit and make yourself at home. We've been praying for you, and hope you will experience the joy of God's life changing love. Calvin is located at 326 7th St SE, Le Mars. 10:15 on Sundays is the time that has been set aside for the public worship of God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

Our Pastor the Rev. Dr. Nevada DeLapp will be on Classical Appointment this Sunday to First Christian Reformed Church in Sheldon. In his place Pastor Duane Tinklenberg will lead the worship on September 15th. Rev. Tinklenberg has chosen Exodus 17: 1 - 7 as the text for his sermon
titled "God Serves His Thirsty People." During Israel's wilderness journey God acts the part of a servant supplying what His people need.

Miriam Hector will provide worship music on the grand piano and organ. The hymns to be sung will be "Open the Eyes of My Heart, Lord", "O God, You Are My God", "Guide Me O Thou Great Redeemer", "How Vast the Benefits Divine" and "Lead Me, Guide Me." This Sunday the Greeters will be John & Judy Klocksiem, Coffee Servers - Gary & Glenda Habben, Usher - Fred Vollink, Nursery - Troy & Elisa Hughes, Sound System - Steve Ver Mulm and Power Point - Jeremy Kamp

Next week all the Education Classes will begin at 9:00 AM on September 22nd. We have classes for all ages, plan to join us in learning more about our God who saved us. Next week we will also celebrate communion as well as contribute to a Special Offering for the Sioux City Gospel Mission.

This Week Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 is the Women's Bible Study "Walking With God in the Desert" written by Ray Vander Laan. They will be continuing their study with Session Two, page 55 - 69.

Calvin has just installed a chair lift to the basement and are excited to announce that we can accommodate anyone to the lower level. We praise God for all the funds provided to complete the cost and installation of the chair lift. One of Calvin's Missions is to give cheerfully of our God-given resources to time, talents, and treasures, to provide adequate facilities and well-trained disciples for God's growing kingdom. Praise the Lord for this answered gift.
