This Week at Calvin

Calvin Church, at 326 7th St SE, welcomes all members and anyone looking for a church home. Worship time is always at 10:15 AM all year long. This Sunday we observe communion. Our policy invites all who are truly sorry for their sins, who sincerely believe in the Lord Jesus as their Savior, and who desire to live in obedience to Him are invited to come with gladness to the table of our Lord. Calvin's tradition is to give to the Christian Needs Center on Communion Sunday. Their June needs are: syrup, granola bars, ketchup, toilet paper, shampoo, toothpaste, bar soap, laundry detergent. These items may be placed in the blue barrel in the narthex. Dave Hector will deliver them on Wednesday.
This Sunday Pastor Rev. Dr. Nevada DeLapp is continuing his series of sermons on the Lord's Prayer. This week he plans to focus on the phrase "Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread," as found in Luke 22: 14 - 23.
Miriam Hector will lead all into a spirit of worship with a prelude entitled "Clair de Lune" by Debussy on the grand piano. The All For Him praise team will lead the singing of "You Are Holy (Prince of Peace)", "I Am the Bread", "Eat This Bread", and "Table of Plenty".
Greeters this week are Dave Hector and Carol Wolfswinkel, Coffee Servers are Ina Bjorge and June Vos, Usher is Lynda Bulthuis,Nursery supervised by Glenda Habben, and Power Point and Sound System run by Jeremy Kamp. Thank you to all who serve.
Calvin Church is preparing for going to Athens, Greece, where Paul travels on a missionary journey in VBS. Paul goes on this dangerous journey to share the Truth about God. That God loves them deeply. Kids and adults ill walk away with the comfort of knowing that God loves us all, takes care of us, loves us when others don't, sent his Son Jesus, and wants us to share his love. The daily Bible Point is carefully integrated into each activity whether it be singing at Celebration opening and closing, Arena Games, Paul's Adventures, or crafts in the Marketplace. Dates for all this fun are Sunday, June 23rd through Wednesday, June 26th. Each evening begins at 5:30 with a meal and concludes at 8:15. If you would like to sign up as a participant, helper or leader please call the church at 546-4767 and leave a message with your information and we will get back to you.
The Women's Ministry is inviting all ladies from our church to a Mystery Outing on June 28. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex. Hope you can join us for an enjoyable day!
You can find all past sermons on the church's website at calvincrclemars.org.
