This Week at Calvin

One of the missions of Calvin CRC, 326 7th ST Se, Le Mars, is to praise God through creative and joyful worship, sound Biblical preaching an inspiring music ministry, and continual prayer. This Sunday, May 2nd, we will try to accomplish this goal at 10 AM worship. An arrangement of "To God Be the Glory" will be played as we enter the sanctuary and calm ourselves before God. T we welcome Rev. Brian Hofman, from Kanawha, IA to the pulpit. Since we are still in the Easter season, the Call to Worship proclaims "Alleluia! Christ is risen. He is risen indeed! We join our voices in singing Christ is Alive! Let Christians Sing with organ and trumpet. We all come with sins we need to confess, but Christ has the assurance of forgiveness followed by the song "Will You Come and Follow Me?" The children will be welcomed forward for a message just for them. Pastor Hofman's messsage for all is "Following Christ in Our Community" is based on John 20: 19 - 23. The Church is sent out with a mission from God "Build Your Kingdom Here" accompanied by All For Him band.
The congregation will have a time of fellowship over a meal at noon. Meat and potatoes will be provided. Everyone is asked to brig a salad or dessert to share.
At 9:00 AM there are Sunday School classes for all ages. Please join the interesting topics being studied.
