This Week at Calvin

For the Second Sunday of Easter Calvin Church is excited to celebrate baptism this week. After Jesus had risen victorious from the grave, he said to his disciples to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. In obedience to this command the church baptizes believers and their children.
Pastor Chad Van Ginkel, from Prairie Lane Church in Omaha, will fill the pulpit and perform baptism. His message is based on John 20: 11-23 entitled "A Living Encounter."
All will be led into worship at 10 AM with a Medley of Children's Songs by Miriam Hector on the grand piano. The All For Him band will lead the singing of "Come People of the Risen King", "In Christ Alone (with baptism verse), and "Who You Say I Am". Following the message we will respond with "Because He Lives". The Sending Song is "Oh, How Good is Christ the Lord".
Sunday School classes for all ages will be held at 9:00 AM. The Adult Class begins a new study "Heaven" by Randy Alcorn. He presents a thoroughly biblical answer, based on years of careful study, presented in an engaging style. "Heaven" will inspire us to long for heaven while they're living on earth.
The Wednesday Evening Bible Study will be at 6:30 PM.
Calvin invites all to join them in experiencing the joy of God's life changing love. We are a "Caring Church, Reaching Community (CCRC). Our building is located at 326 7th St SE or news and services are on the web at calvincrclemars.org.
