This Week at Calvin

Calvin Church, at 326 7th St SE, invites all to worship and study God's word together. As more and more people
are getting vaccinated, we encourage you to participate in public worship of God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit! Calvin has plenty of room to socially distance.
During the season of Lent, we mark the weeks by lighting purple candles. This week Steve Ver Mulm and Angeli Shieh will lead us in the scripture reading. This is the final candle to be lit before Jesus' death on the cross, in which the Christ candle will be extinguished.
This Sunday is Palm Sunday where the crowds welcome Jesus into Jerusalem riding on a donkey. Children and adults will wave palms as they process down the center aisle to "Hosanna (Praise is Rising)." The All For Him band will accompany "Blessed Be Your Name", "All Glory Laud and Honor", "Living Hope", and "Hosanna, Loud Hosanna."
Rev. Duane Tinklenburg will open the Word to John 12: 12 - 15 and 18: 1 - 11 and his message "Jesus Turns Himself In."
Omar Camas will play his flute for special music. We thank him for sharing his contest solo "Springtime Waltz" with us. Miriam Hector will accompany him and play the prelude "Via Dolorosa".
Good Friday will be commemorated with the Ireton CRC at 7:00 PM.
The Fellowship Committee is planning an Easter breakfast before the Easter morning service (April 4) Please join the church family for breakfast and fellowship.
Wednesday Afternoon Bible Study at 1:30 studies the Lesson "Bold or Boldness". Join us for reading of scripture, discussion, prayer and dessert.
Looking for a special place to teach your children about Jesus? Our Sunday School classes are the place to be! At 9:00 AM every child is welcomed and taught the truths about God's word in small, intimate settings. Call the church office at 546-4767 if they need a ride.
