This Week at Calvin

Calvin Church, 326 7th Ave SE, invites all seekers of a Biblical preaching, inspiring music ministry and praying people to join us in worshipping God and growing in a relationship with Christ. Our Education classes begin at 9 AM on Sundays for all ages. Sharon Zomermaand guides the children through the Bible with story, craft, and song. Tom De Koster inspires the youth with The Greatest Journey. Dave Hector leads the Adults with Ray Vander Laan's newest discussion on "How do we make the Scriptural Application today in a Broken Culture?"
This Sunday we welcome back Rev. Matt Wentz with his words on fighting the battle with the full armor of God. The All For Him praise team will lead the singing of "See A Victory", "O God, You Are My God", "We Believe",
and "Build Your Kingdom Here". The Prayer of Confession will be sung with "Just a Closer Walk with God".
An interesting update on the Operation Christmas Child shoebox project. Nearly 4,000 boxes were sent from Northwest Iowa. That number was down this year due to the pandemic. However, through the online ("Build-A-Box") in our Upper Midwest Region (IA, SD, ND, MN, WI, Greater Chicago and northern ILL)the shoebox gifts increased by more than nine times...going form 2,503 in 2019 to 22,912 in 2020. Let us celebrate these numbers, pray for the children receiving these gifts and the Greatest Gift in the weeks and months ahead.
Looking ahead - March 21st is communion, special offering for Cornerstone Prison Ministries and donating items for the Christian Needs Center. Join us in the Great Commission of making disciples throughout the world.
