This Week at Calvin

Calvin Church marks the third week of Lent with the journey to the cross, hear Scripture and light another purple candle. The congregation responds with a refrain of "Lord Jesus, as we walk with you through these forty days, let your light shine into our hearts and may we carry your light to the world."
We welcome Rev. Matt Wentz to our pulpit for the next two Sundays. He has chosen March for his theme. We are warriors like David's valiant men. May we turn to Christ as King and Ruler.
Music chosen is "O Worship the King", "We're Marching to Zion", "Onward Christian Soldiers" and "The Battle Belongs to the Lord." The song of preparation to the reading of scripture will be "Speak, O Lord." Miriam Hector will be providing worship prelude and accompaniment for singing on the piano and organ.
This first two weeks of March Calvin will be serving our neighbors by delivering Meals on Wheels to the community. This ministry is one way of reaching out to them for Christ.
Sunday School classes are an exciting way to growing in relationship with Christ. All ages are welcome at 9:00 AM. Coffee and orange juice start us off.
Wednesday evening Bible Study will meet March 10th at 6:30 PM in the basement. They will be studying Lesson 3 in the book "Growing Through Life's Challenges." We look forward to seeing you there.
Calvin is located at 326 7th St SE or on the web at calvincrclemars.org. Office hours are Monday through Friday 10 to noon.
