This Week at Calvin

We worship an Almighty God "who has been exalted to the highest place, that at the name of Jesu every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord." Philippians 2: 9 - 11. On Sunday , the day set aside for public worship, Calvin Church invites all to join them on prayer, reading of scripture, singing praises to our one and holy God at 10:00 AM.
Mr. Greg Steggerda, lay worship leader form Orange City, will fill the pulpit. The All For Him praise team will lead the singing of "We Bow Down", "Cornerstone", "Ancient Words", and "Lead Me, Guide Me." On keys is Miriam Hector, bass guitar - Jim Viet, guitars and vocals - Bob Hughes and Ron De Kok, drums - Bruce Smit. Singers include Patrick Visscher, Mary Fedders and Lyn Bulthuis. We thank them for lending their musical gifts to lead us in worship.
Education classes are provided for all ages at 9:00 AM on Sundays. The Adult class is watching a DVD on "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis. The youth are studying "The Greatest Journey" by Samaritan's Purse. Coffee is ready when you arrive.
The Wednesday Evening Bible Study will be January 27 at 6:30 PM in the church basement. They are studying Lesson 6 in the series "If You Want to Walk on Water, You Have to Get out of the Boat." They look forward to seeing anyone interested in this study.
Calvin Church building is located on 4th Ave SE and 7th St SE. We are expecting you and have been praying for you. We hope you will experience the joy of God's life changing love as we gather together.
