This Week at Calvin

We at Calvin Church have seen how people are afraid. That 2020 has seen the rise of of a global pandemic, job loss and economic depression. Our planet is in need of restoration and renewal. Advent is a season of waiting on God's promises for a redeemed creation. As we wait. we offer up our fears to God and hear God's
comfort in angel voices: "Do not be afraid." The theme for the first week of Advent is "The Hopes and Fears of all the Years are Met in Thee Tonight." As we light the first candle of the Advent wreath, the candle of Hope, Isaiah gives us a vision of a kingdom yet to come where everything has been made new and where creation is at peace.
Mr. Sherwyn Bolkema, a lay pastor from Orange City will be leading the service this Sunday, November 29th.

Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 PM Women's Bible Study meets to discuss Lesson 4 led by Lyn Bulthuis. Coffee, study, fellowship and a tasty dessert are always enjoyed.
Come and worship. Not all is perfect but we must worship together as family. As in Ezra 6, the Israelites overcame many obstacles to keep worship a priority as one body, soul, heart and mind.
