This Week at Calvin

Calvin Christian Reformed Church invites you to the public worship of God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Calvin Church hopes you will experience the joy of God's life changing love with us.  Sunday morning service is at 10:15 AM at 326 7th St SE.  

 

This Sunday Calvin Church celebrates the 65th Wedding Anniversary of the oldest married couple in our church.  Marvin and Norma Korver will be celebrating with family and their church family.  Miriam (Korver) Hector will play a prelude of their favorite hymns on the grand piano.  The Korvers will be serving cake in honor of this special time following the worship service.  

 

The All For Him band will accompany the singing of "Surely the Presence of the Lord is in This Place", "He Is Here", "Be Unto Your Name", "Ancient Words", "God of Wonders" and "How Great is Our God."   The band is composed of Jim Viet, Ron De Kok, Miriam Hector, and Dan Byker.  The singers will be Patrick Visscher, Steve Ver Mulm, and Mary Fedders.

 

Pastor Rev. Dr. Nevada De Lapp will finish the first segment of his sermon series on Hebrews Chapter 8 - Jesus is our Great High Priest.  

 

Other servers this Sunday will be Troy and Elisa Hughes as Greeters, Pete and Mary Attema as Coffee Servers, Dave Hector as Usher, Jeremy Kamp as PowerPoint and Mike Feenstra as Sound System.  

 

Mark your calendar for Vacation Bible School June 25 - 29 from 5:30 - 8:15 PM.  Join Daniel -torn from his home and forced into the king's service.  Explore exotic sights and smells in a Babylonian bazaar!  Kids and adults will find that they're not much different from Daniel and his friends, who kept their faith in a faithless culture.  A meal will precede all the singing, games, Bible Study and Marketplace crafts and activities.  All children ages 4 through 5th grade are invited.  Teenagers are encouraged to be helpers.
