This group has scripted and performs dramas from the Bible. This will include two portions of the Gospel of John (chapter 20 and 21). And the "The Coming of Esau" which is the story of Jacob and Esau taken directly from the book of Genesis. These dramas also incorporate musical selections, as well.
The Greeters this week are Dave Hector and Carol Wolfswinkel, Coffee servers - Fred & Glenda Vollink, Usher - Lynda Bulthuis, Nursery - Cindy De Vos, Sound System - Steve Ver Mulm and Powerpoint - Jeremy Kamp.
There will be a time of fellowship, coffee and cookies following the worship service to meet and greet the Northwestern students and Mr. Barker. We are so thrilled that they have scheduled Calvin to experience the Bible through sight and motion as well as through hearing it. All visitors are welcome and expected. We've been praying for you, and hope you will experience the joy of God's life changing love with us.
The 14th Annual Praise Band Fest is quickly approaching. Sunday, February 18th, at 5:00 PM Calvin welcomes The Rejoice! Praise Team, ONE (the singer-songwriter duo Justin & Ellie (Hemmingson) Popeney,) and The All For Him team from Calvin Church. Each group will lead praise and worship music for about 25 minutes and concluding with a massed song. You will hear many favorites from Contemporary Music, hymns, and newly composed songs. Come and join us in this informal time of worship to our awesome God. A free-will offering will be given to the charity Josh's Ride. This organization donates custom bikes for special people. Following the time of worship all are invited to join us for a supper in the fellowship hall downstairs. There will be sandwiches, chips, fruit salad and ice cream for a suggested donation of $5 if you are able. This will all go toward the Josh's Ride Charity. We love visiting with you over a meal and making and renewing old friendships.
